What a horrendous digital solution

These guys are clueless when it comes to digital magazine subscriptions. They continually change their app and screw things up. I loved the magazine, but it’s really not worth the headache trying to get the magazines from the subscription you have paid for. Steer clear of this publication.

Don’t waste your time

This app is total garbage. Being a Passagemaker magazine subscriber for decades, this App will stop working every now and then. When contact the App support, all they are interested in getting your magazine receipt from probably a year or more ago. They should learn what customer service is and work with the magazine to solve the problem. At the end of the day, this app doesn’t work, it’s deleted.

Developers not to use

This developer must have a application testing staff of one, to release this latest version and not come close to having it work correctly is incomprehensible.

Worthless

I spent an hour trying to make the app work. Don’t waste your time.

Garbage

I have several years worth of issues. I have had to reinstall the app and re-download all of them three times. Now, all the older issues are scrambled up and I can’t read any of them. So, either I start from scratch or give up. And to think I pay annually for the honor of using this dreadful piece of software.

Love the Magazine, Hate the App

This is the third time I have had to re-install the App. It keeps losing me and my purchases. What a other! It’s been over 2 years since it has been updated- 3 operating systems ago. Really? I wish PMM would choose a new delivery app.

Worst App Ever

The app continually says maximizing space on start up, download keep getting deleted and it fails when you are offline on the plane. Great publication but the application is a total failure.

1 Day Per Year to Cancel Renewal???

Why do they only give you one day per year to cancel the annual subscription renewal? Sounds like they are afraid of losing subscribers so they have to make it difficult to leave. What if you are busy or don’t have access to the internet that single day and can’t unsubscribe? Don’t they promote people cruising across the ocean where they may not have internet for a day?

Worst Digital Reading App

Great magazine! Terrible app! Loses subscription data. Super slow to load. So many great digital reader apps available - why did PassageMaker chose this one?

App is garbage

Please hire someone that knows what they are doing to fix this app.

Paid for but not delivered

Problem with this app. I called Passagemakers directly and they advised the had nothing to do with the ITunes subscription delivery. I've not been able to find any other avenue to go so I'm out the total subscription cost after reading only one magazine.

Still broken

Not much else to say except it app is still broken. Renewed my subscription a few weeks before the release and I cannot get the new issue, or the one that came out just as I renewed. Frustrating!

Confused and frustrated

PMM has migrated through too many delivery mechanisms. It was an app, then a download, then a newsstand, now an app again - I think. The frustration with it all seems never ending. All I want to do is read the rag. I really wish they'd use a commercial delivery vehicle like Zinio which works beautifully and just stick to content creation.

Crashes constantly!

Magazine is great but the App is not ready. Sorry to whine about giving feedback, they should probably take the review feature away so it can be broken indefinitely!

forced to transition to a new app that is non functional and can’t not restore subscription. no support form developer. get the magazine some place else. don’t waste your time

Paid for a subscription and the app does work

So you pay your $, they change the software and now it does not work. Great business model. No customer service, no idea if or when if will be fixed. Do i sound like a happy customer?

Great magazine, some tech problems

Great magazine. All you whiners out there cut them some slack while they make the app transition. What's the big deal? You'll get your magazines. Find something else to cry about.

Clueless!

They are change from one app to another for their subscribers... They send you instructions on how to get the issues they owe you and it simply doesn't work. What a painful way to subscribe to an otherwise great magazine.

Bad app

Great magazine. New app completely botched. Does work with old app and can't download purchased subscriptions.

Not working yet

Hard to tell what the developers and the magazine are thinking. You can't download the issue that is displayed online. If you have the old app and a full year's subscription, they can't figure out how to get you the new issue with the new app. They blame apple. Amateur hour. The mag is great and I look forward to each issue (I own a trawler). But they are not adapting to new technology well.
